Guidelines for designing a HyHyve map.

Introduction

Before you start designing your map, you should ask yourself and your client the following questions:

• What type of design do I like, and what location fits my event? (It's best to use the public HyHyve maps as a guide: ).
• Which accent colors do I want to include in the map design?
• Are there any logos or sponsorship requirements that should be reflected on the map?
• The most crucial part: Do any elements create positive memories for my participants or have a recognition factor? (e.g., a special building or place, a memorable event).

General

• Ensure visibility of the UI Elements, especially of the avatars
• Ensure visibility of “bubble” conversations (bubbles are #F5F5F5 “White smoke” in day-mode and dark grey “Gunmetal” #2C3235 in dark-mode)
• The best practice is to harmonize with the color and design of HyHyve

Colors

• Use a balanced color palette of your choice

    #EBE9E9 - platinum: great for the floor; this is the color of other avatars

Map Sizes

Size should be according to the upper limit of users.
